CATASTROPHE
Year
2026
Description
Catastrophe started as an experiment: how far could I push AI to create an original, cinematic story from scratch? The result was an epic 3D world following Cosmo a cat astronaut and his battle with his arch enemy, Void Paw. I combined hand-drawn sketches, AI image generation, and Seedance 2.0, rendering more than 175 stills along the way. I even intentionally used an iMovie trailer template to edit the entire film to prove that the tools don’t have to be complicated to make something ambitious. Built on and off over just six days, Catastrophe was ultimately presented at the AD Club as part of a live conversation about how AI is changing creativity. The point wasn’t that AI makes great work easy. It’s that the barriers to making, experimenting, and getting to great work are disappearing. There are fewer excuses not to create.
