Description

Reprogrammed was my exploration of what happens when innocence collides with a world being rapidly reshaped by technology. Through the eyes of the Careless Bear, I created a surreal journey through strange, futuristic landscapes—a character wandering freely through forces it doesn’t fully understand. For me, the bear became a kind of compass: curious, unburdened, and open to wherever the world takes it. The work plays with the tension between progress and our resistance to it, juxtaposing futuristic imagery with something simple, familiar, and human. But ultimately, Reprogrammed isn’t really about technology. It’s about perspective. Maybe moving forward isn’t always about chasing what’s next. Maybe it’s about finding where you belong, tuning out the noise, and being present enough to appreciate what’s already around you. I chose the Outlier as the canvas because of what it represents: versatility, freedom, and the ability to move through different terrain. From early-morning bootpacks to late-afternoon laps, it felt like the perfect vehicle for a piece about exploration and finding your own path.
